Georgia the German Shorthair Pointer

Dog’s Name: Georgia

Breed(s): German Shorthair Pointer

Age (birthday): Almost 3

Gender: I’m a girl

Best Friend(s): Motu, Zeke, Cooper, Vinnie

Favorite Food(s): Duck strips make me dance

Favorite Toy(s): My squeaky cow and monkeys

Favorite Outing: We went camping at the ocean in Oregon this summer!

Pet Peeve: Mom and Dad don’t let me eat the cherries in the backyard

Favorite place to hang out at home: The backyard has everything I need!

Favorite place to sleep: Under the covers, especially if it’s with Mom and Dad, too!

Best Trick: I figured out how to open the back door and get back inside without help

Favorite place to go for a walk? I love the loop at the dog park

What makes you bark? Those darned crows and squirrels!

What makes you smile? A really good game of fetch

What makes your tail wag? When Daddy comes home

Best Memory: Coming to my new home on Valentine’s Day 2009. I cuddled with Mommy on the long drive home, then played my first game of fetch with Daddy in my new yard! It was a great day!

Funniest Moment: It is SO funny when I throw myself in the mud puddle at the dog park. Mommy yells, “NO!” but I do it anyway. It’s really fun! Well, until she hoses me off.

If you could give your human advice, what words of wisdom would you share? Don’t work too hard, love everyone, and remember that it’s NOT rude to point (if you’re a GSP)!

Wild card (something unique about you): When Mommy and Daddy work from home, they sometimes get mad at the computer. So I run right over and climb up on her/his lap to make them feel all better and forget their problems. It works every time.

Why are you coming to Wellsprings? My legs were broken when I was really little; before I lived with Mom and Dad. Nice folks fixed me up, but now my right leg isn’t quite as strong as the other one. The therapists at Wellsprings K9 are working to even me out.

What do you like best about Wellsprings?
